What do items in red mean in skyrim

Store Page. Global Achievements. Having rented the 'attic' room at the inn at Riverwood, I noticed the chest and offloaded some items there. Then I had to go to High Hrothgar with Jurgens Horn, and when I came back to the inn to put more in the chest, some of my items were in red type! They were still there, but it made me think that maybe they're at risk.

Anyone know why they should be written in red? Showing 1 - 11 of 11 comments. Have you been a naughty boy and stolen some items then mixed those in that chest? Just a thought. Stolen items appear in red : Nothing to worry about, unless the guards catch you, of course. Incunabulum View Profile View Posts.

Because that room is only yours for a day. After that, the chest 'claims' some of the stuff stored in it and if left too long the whole chest will replace its inventory with new stuff - making the current contents dissapear. Learn more. Why some items appears red after placing them in my own house? Ask Question. Asked 9 years, 10 months ago. Active 9 years, 1 month ago. Viewed 85k times. I stole only one single item so far in the game, and just because it was part of a mission.

Crime stats prove this What can be the reason, or is this a bug? Actions I took to debug this: Took one of the two Iron Ingots in the chest, the remaining ingot became white and my Stolen Items count did not go up. Took one of the four Bone Meals in the other chest, still red. Took anothr and the remaining two were not red anymore. Stolen items count did not increase as well.

I dropped the Iron Ingot to the ground. The command was Steal and indeed, after taking it from ground my Stolen Items count increased by one though without any bounty even though it was right near a guard.

Same with the Bone Meal. Improve this question. Shadow Wizard Is Vaccinated V3. Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes. Improve this answer. Joe Dovahkiin Joe Dovahkiin Thanks, I've never pickpocketed anyone so that's not an option. I do have companion Lydia and might have taken items from her after giving them, so maybe while she had them is was "marked" as her own items?

It's consistent, my crime stats changed only after taking it from the ground. From what I see, I would say "bug", since it doesn't make sense otherwise. Can you add your crime stats, to check if it's not a different kind of theft that you made by mistake?

From what I remember: total lifetime bounty, highest bounty, 1 stolen items one of the first quests , 8 assaults, 2 murders. Will take screenshot if you like but what could I have done by mistake? Yes zero in both, never even tried to pick a pocket. Show 2 more comments. There are two situations where I've had this happen. There is a bug so be watchful and save often. Players without the Dragonborn DLC will find this item particularly difficult to find. It can only be looted off of Plautius Carvain after he's dead, whenever he's encountered in the wild with his wife, traveling to the wedding in Solitude. Otherwise, Fort Frostmoth on Solstheim will have a few bottles of it behind a Master-level locked door. Clutter is a major issue and feature of Skyrim. It helps to bring in immersion in its many dungeons, and this macabre set of torture tools which luckily or unfortunately, depending on how you see it can't be interacted with.

There's only a total of four of them in the entire game, making it a very rare piece of clutter. The easiest way to find one is to play through the Companion quest line which will eventually bring the player to Gallows Rock, where one can be found next to a dead werewolf. There are also two found in the Dawnstar Sanctuary of the Dark Brotherhood at the end of its quest line, as well as one in Fort Dawnguard.

Circlets are nothing tremendously rare or uncommon in Skyrim. However, there's one type of circlet in particular that appears so rarely that it's actually considered a bug on the official Elder Scrolls wiki page.

If you're lucky, you might be able to get your hands on it. There's a slight chance that he'll be selling something called Revyn Sadri's Copper and Onyx Circlet.

There's nothing special to this circlet, no enchantment or particularly high value. It simply has an interesting and unique name, making it one of a kind. Skooma is already somewhat uncommon in the game, but not impossible to find in certain bandit dens or by speaking with Khajiit traders.

However, the rare double-distilled skooma is absolutely one of a kind in the game, so much so that there's only one of it which can be found during a quest. Go to Windhelm and speak with Stands-In-Shallows, who will ask you to fetch him some very strong skooma for his urgent needs. This specific type of skooma restores 50 points of stamina. Unique weapons are some of the best parts about wandering around Skyrim and adventuring. Coming across one is always a joy, but some of them are so well hidden that it's a miracle anyone ever found them in the first place.

Such is the case with the legendary Windshear. At the final stage of the Dark Brotherhood quest, rather than immediately escaping the Katariah, head to its main deck and walk up the main front mast to find this rare and unique scimitar lodged into the wood. It's not an amazingly good weapon, but it has the chance of knocking some enemies down when bashed with. The Notched Pickaxe is likely the most well-known item on this list, on account of its status as an Easter egg.

Its name is widely accepted as a nod to Markus Persson, or "Notch," the creator of the timeless and ever-popular sandbox game, Minecraft. It is stashed away in a hard to reach location at the very top of the Throat of the World, near the highest climbable point in the game. It actually has some limited application to boot, as it boosts the wielder's Smithing skill by five points.

You'll be the envy of every Jarl at the party when you strut in wearing this absurdly rare Nordic ensemble. A third is worn by Bryling, a Thane in service to Elisif in Solitude. As bad luck would have it, all of these NPCs are marked as essential, meaning they cannot be killed for their swanky duds. Bryling, however, loses her essential flag after the Dark Brotherhood quest "Bound Until Death," and we're not responsible for what you decide to do with that information.
