When is forecastle 2017

This year, the 15th for the festival, about 60, people attended over three days. Forecastle festival spokeswoman Holly Weyler McKnight said there were no major problems at this year's festival and that the warm weather — maybe a bit hot for some — helped make a great event.

See the slideshow above for some of our favorite images from this year's event. The three-day music celebration will take place July 14—16, , at the award-winning Waterfront Park, situated on 85 acres of green space on the banks of the Ohio River framed by the skyline of downtown Louisville.

A number of additional acts will be announced in early General Admission weekend passes are available now at ForecastleFest. VIP weekend passes include front stage viewing areas, an air-conditioned lounge, branded merchandise, access to the Bourbon Lodge and more. New to , Forecastle will offer a General Admission Plus option, featuring exclusive, air-conditioned lounge access, a private bar and special entrance lines to the festival.

Payment plan options for all ticket types are available now. Presented by Liquor Barn and curated by Category Director Brad Williams, the Rarities Bar will offer up some of most hard-to-find and sought- after Kentucky bourbon expressions, not just a few of which will only be available at Forecastle.

Indeed, the bar will be debuting one-of-a-kind blends crafted by Williams along with McKnight that attendees will be able to sample at the festival and then purchase at certain Liquor Barn locations.

These sessions will see guests enjoy educational panels, speakers and demonstrations with industry experts, retailers, mixologists and master distillers in an intimate, living-room setting. And what would happen is when we got done each year, I would see how it went — and normally, it would be fantastic and beyond my expectations — and then I would raise the bar. The focus of Forecastle is no longer being bigger but rather better each year.
